Here at Westheim Brewery we see tradition not as the worship of ashes but as the preservation of fire. Our brewing styles therefore have not changed much, really, which for this reason and others made our brewery world-famous in Germany and -finally- brings more and more recognition beyond our borders (our beers wider and wider appraised, even as far as in Asia and the Pacific!) We could also say it like this: Germany also a has e.g. brewery that is even a thousand years old, there are monastery-beers following recipe guidelines that were written more than 800 years ago. And since we ourselves are only about 160 years young in these history books, we must try harder… As tradition is kept alive only by something being added to it.
